John Van Slyke
John is a playwright and actor based in the Mid-west area, whose vast resources, knowledge and skill has been instrumental in the success of our work. In 1998 while he was directing the play Blodder at the ArtCentric Gallery he met filmmaker Ross Bigley, and they have been working together on various projects since.
John has performed in over 50 theater and video productions in the Milwaukee, Madison and Chicago area, many with the Inertia Ensemble where he was a company memberfrom 1994-99. John played the pivotal role of Bob in the first three "Dirty Job"shorts as well as the fifth.
He can also be seen as Maury Castel in"Slacktime" and as Philip in "Disembodied." During the early years ofthe new century, John has performed in a few plays including Milwaukee's premier of "Hellcab" and "Fifth of July."John has also authored more than 50 produced plays for many theater companies including Bunny Gumbo Productions, Milwaukee Children's Theater, Cornerstone Theatre Company, Unusual Suspects, Playwright's StudioTheatre, and the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre's Education Program.
