Tom Reed

Actor

Tom Reed is the Producing Artistic Director of Optimist Theatre’s Free Shakespeare in the Park and has been a part of the Milwaukee community for the past ten years.

He has played roles at many of the local theatres which include the title role in MACBETH, Caliban in THE TEMPEST, and Feste in TWELFTH NIGHT.

Before coming to Milwaukee Tom performed at a variety of regional theatres across the country including the Utah Shakespearean Festival and the Court Theatre in Chicago. Film/TV credits include: John Water’s CRYBABY, THE INCINERATOR, KILLER HIPPIE, THE LADY OF MENAGERIE, A PILGRIM’S JOURNAL, and with Ross Bigley YELLOW HILL: THE STRANGER’S TALE and ZOMBIE FRATHOUSE. Tom would like to encourage everyone to support the arts and artists everywhere, but especially Milwaukee artists. 

Apart from his theatre endeavors, Tom serves as an instructor in the Theatre Department at Alverno College. He is also the husband and father of three beautiful red haired ladies who support and inspire him in all aspects of his life.
